Kate Middleton and Prince William Just Met Their New Nephew Archie
Prince William and Kate met their new nephew Archie for the first time yesterday, T&C understands. The couple is understood to have visited Harry and Meghan and their newborn son at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor this afternoon.
The visit took place after Harry returned from a day of engagements in Oxford where he spoke about being a new father, saying he now can’t imagine life without his son.
Prince William, Kate, Prince Harry, and Meghan attend a service marking the centenary of WW1 armistice at Westminster Abbey.
Archie was born just over a week ago on Monday, May 6 at 5:26 a.m. weighing 7 lb 3 oz. His name, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, was revealed two days later following a photo call in Windsor Castle’s St George’s Hall, after Harry and Meghan had introduced him to the Queen and Prince Philip.
Some other members of the royal family found out about the arrival of Harry's baby via WhatsApp. Mike Tindall, who is married to Harry’s cousin Zara, told the Daily Telegraph that he heard about Archie via the family's group chat.
Meghan and Harry decided against using the courtesy title Earl of Dumbarton for their son, but Archie will automatically become an HRH and a Prince when Charles becomes King. Since his birth, Archie has been at the family home Frogmore Cottage where new mum Meghan has the support of her mother Doria as Harry has carried out a handful of official engagements, including today's events in Oxford.
While the public has yet to see Archie since the photocall last week, on Sunday May 12, which was Mother's Day in the Philippines., a picture of Archie’s feet was posted on the Sussexes’ Instagram account with Princess Diana’s favorite flower, forget-me-nots, in the background.
