How to Write a Letter Congratulating Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Their Baby News

You just might get a note back!

To say that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have had a busy year is quite the understatement. Just five months after their tradition-breaking royal wedding in May, the couple shared that they are expecting their first child next spring.

Kensington Palace announced that Meghan is pregnant just before she and Harry kicked off their 16-day royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga.

And while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex opted to share their happy news with the world on Twitter, you can still send the parents-to-be a letter of congratulations via snail mail. (Given Meghan's history as a calligrapher, and her penchant for handwritten notes, she might even prefer it that way.)

If you'd like to send them a letter or card, address it to:

Harry and Meghan live at Kensington Palace in Nottingham Cottage, but their mailing address is actually at Clarence House, as that is where their correspondence is opened.

There are no guarantees, but Harry and Meghan have been known to send thank you notes to those who mail them greetings, so be sure to include a return address. Those who sent well wishes following the Sussex's wedding received a message back featuring a black-and-white portrait of the newlyweds.

Do you plan to send a letter to Meghan and Harry?

Definitely! I love seeing the cards they send back.

Nah, I prefer to do my royal watching online.

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been overwhelmed by all the incredibly kind cards and letters they have received on the occasion of their Wedding and are so touched that you took the trouble to write as you did," read the card. "It really was most thoughtful of you and greatly appreciated by The Royal Highness who send you their very best wishes."

Similar notes have recently been sent out to those who mailed birthday cards to Harry and Meghan, or notes congratulating the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the birth of their third child, Prince Louis. See a few examples of those below:
