How to Have Your Wedding at Kensington Palace

Here's how to turn your big day into an actual fairytale.

More and more brides (and, yes, grooms) are using their big day to live out the ultimate princess fantasy. And how better to turn your nuptials into a real-life fairytale than by holding your reception at the humble abode of Will and Kate?

This week, Vogue brought it to our attention that Kensington Palace, where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge keep an apartment, is available as a wedding venue. While you won't be able to say "I do" in Will and Kate's living room, according to the Historic Royal Palaces website, multiple gardens can be used for receptions, as can venues inside the palace like the King's Gallery, which can host up to 170, or the Cupola Room, which is a bit smaller and features a beautiful trompe l'oeil painted on the ceiling. The Orangery, which was once intended to serve as a winter garden for Queen Anne's citrus trees, is also licensed for civil wedding and partnership ceremonies.

Before you start daydreaming about balcony photos with your in-laws, know that living out your Cinderella moment at a Royal palace doesn't come cheap.

Rates for a wedding event in the Orangery start at £12,500 (roughly P753,337), plus a value-added tax. The pricing does not include catering, and all vendors from florists to pyrotechnics must come from a list of approved suppliers.

If you're looking for something slightly more affordable, but with the same royal appeal, pricing at the Hampton Court Palace, a favorite of King Henry VIII, starts at £3,000 (roughly P180,800) plus value-added tax in the Garden Room and £10,800 (roughly P653,883) plus value-added tax in the Palace, again, exclusive of catering.

*£1 = P60.27
