On Monday, Anderson Cooper confirmed on-air that his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, had died at the age of 95. Soon thereafter, people whose lives Vanderbilt had touched began celebrating her legacy.

Everyone chooses something different to remember Gloria Vanderbilt by: her personal history, her art, her giggle. Here, a few notable tributes to Vanderbilt, including those by Andy Cohen, Joyce Carol Oates, and her very own son, Anderson Cooper.

ANDERSON COOPER

Vanderbilt's son delivered a moving eulogy for his late mother, telling the story of her life from beginning to end. Cooper combined his journalistic expertise and intimate knowledge of his subject for an unforgettable tribute, concluding with, "What an extraordinary life. What an extraordinary mom. What an incredible woman."

JOYCE CAROL OATES

The author remembered her friend in a series of tweets, many of which featured Vanderbilt's art. The late icon seems to have painted several portraits of Oates, in addition to creating a collage of Oates and her family. "With a few deft impressionistic strokes Gloria Vanderbilt could create a magical likeness," Oates noted in one tweet.

ANDY COHEN

Cohen, who had interviewed his longtime friend Anderson Cooper alongside Vanderbilt in 2016, took to Instagram to commemorate her passing. "Gloria Vanderbilt was an amazing woman who lived a life filled with incredible peaks and impossible obstacles," he wrote. "Through it all, she remained eternally optimistic with a wicked sense of humor. In fact, Anderson’s iconic and infectious giggle comes from his mom," he added, referencing a detail that Cooper had disclosed during his CNN broadcast.

KATHY GRIFFIN

Griffin, who called Vanderbilt "Glo Vandi," posted a long thread in remembrance. She remembered how Vanderbilt made her feel at home in elite circles. "I was so thrilled to be invited and spend more time with her," Griffin wrote of Vanderbilt's dinner parties. "Often at these events I would be quite intimidated and Glo knew what to do. She would stop the conversation and say 'Kaaaathy, WHAT is going on with the Lohans?'"
