With two children under five and another on the way, Prince William has had a crash course in parenting. But fatherhood didn't come naturally for the Duke of Cambridge at first—at least not according to his wife, Duchess Kate.

While at Hornsey Road Children's Centre, a childcare and family support center, on November 14, Kate mentioned William's initial struggles to Billy, a single father raising his seven-month-old daughter Violet all on his own.

After speaking with Kate about his own trials, Billy shared what HRH told him: "She was saying William was sort of similar and I just wanted to let her know how Family Action has been there for me and I think they need more support."

While at the event, Kate also revealed that Princess Charlotte's favorite color is—what else?—pink, and spoke with a mother named Michelle about how much Prince George loves helicopters.

"She was asking about what Jacob liked and he said he liked aeroplanes and she was asking if he'd seen a Spitfire and we said we liked going to the Science Museum and RAF museum," Michelle told the press.

"She was saying how George likes helicopters—she was [telling me] about the top floor of the Science Museum where the helicopters are."

For the appearance, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a cream-colored coat that she originally sported during her first pregnancy. Her third child with Prince William is due in April of 2018.
