This year is proving to be something of a royal baby boom. In April, Duchess Kate gave birth to Prince Louis, Zara Tindall had baby Lena, and just last week, Meghan and Harry announced that they are expecting their first child next spring.

Now, People reports that Princess Grace's granddaughter Charlotte Casiraghi has given birth to a baby boy, her first child with her fiancé, film producer Dimitri Rassam.

The latest addition to Monaco's royal House of Grimaldi was reportedly born on Tuesday morning at Princess Grace Hospital, and weighed in at 7 lbs, 2 oz. The new royal baby, whose name has yet to be made public, is the seventh grandchild for Princess Caroline (the third born in 2018), and the great-grandson of Grace Kelly.

A pregnant Casiraghi attended the Global Champions Tour of Monaco in Monte Carlo last June.

Casiraghi, who is eleventh in line to the throne, and Rassam have been dating since 2016 when they were re-introduced by mutual friends. They are believed to have gotten engaged in March of this year, as she first debuted her stunning engagement ring at the Rose Ball late in the month. Both already have children: Casiraghi has a four-year-old son Raphaël with Gad Elmaleh, and Rassam has a daughter from a previous marriage.

People also reports that plans are in the works for two wedding ceremonies for the couple in 2019, and that they are already "talking dates," though nothing has been announced publicly.

“Charlotte’s very happy,” a source told the publication. “Dimitri’s a very nice guy and they’ve actually known each other for a while. It’s been a remote friendship of many years.”
