Barack and Michelle Obama are settling into their new house and life in Washington.

The former first couple was photographed Sunday after a trip to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.—their first photo together since the January trip they took to billionaire Richard Branson's private island in the British Virgin Islands.

The ex-president waved and rocked a chestnut-brown leather jacket look that harkened back to his law school days at Harvard in 1992 (above). He also wore dark jeans, lace-up oxfords, and the same Oliver Peoples sunglasses that Esquire highlighted last year, while the former first lady wore an all-black ensemble like the one she recently wore to a SoulCycle class in the nation's capital.

Barack is back in Washington following a trip to New York City when he spent a night dining with his eldest daughter, Malia, who is currently interning for the Weinstein Company before she starts college at Harvard in the fall. The next day, he attracted a crowd of about 200 when he left an office building in the city before heading to Gramercy Tavern for lunch.
