While Mother's Day in the United Kingdom was celebrated earlier this year, the worldwide celebration of Mother's Day on May 12 is the Duchess of Sussex's first as a mom. It's unclear exactly how Meghan celebrated—hopefully by relaxing at Frogmore Cottage with baby Archie, her husband Harry, and her own mother Doria—but she marked the occasion on Instagram.

The Sussex Royal account shared a new, never-before-seen photo of little Archie's feet on the morning of the holiday. In the picture, the baby, who was born on May 6, was wrapped in a blanket and appeared to be held by his mother, the Duchess of Sussex.

"Paying tribute to all mothers today - past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered. We honor and celebrate each and every one of you," read the photo caption.

It continues, "Today is Mother’s Day in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Japan, and several countries across Europe. This is the first Mother’s Day for The Duchess of Sussex."

The post also includes a quote from the poem "lands" by Nayyirah Waheed.

In addition to celebrating all mothers, the sweet Instagram post includes a specific nod to Prince Harry's late mother, Princess Diana.

According to royal reporter Victoria Murphy, forget-me-nots, which were Princess Diana's favorite flowers, are featured in the background of the photo.

At this point, it's unclear exactly who took the picture, but the caption also includes "© SussexRoyal," indicating that it was either taken by a private photographer—perhaps, Chris Allerton, who took the private photo of little Archie meeting his great-grandmother the Queen earlier this week—or, possibly even Prince Harry or Meghan's mom, Doria.
