- Socialite and artist Gloria Vanderbilt is celebrating her 95th birthday on Wednesday, February 20.
- To mark the occasion, her son journalist Anderson Cooper posted a touching Instagram tribute.
As with everything in the age of the Internet, it's not really your birthday unless you make a note of it on social media—and your loved ones should follow suit too. Case in point: Anderson Cooper's birthday tribute to his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, who is celebrating her 95th birthday today.
The television anchor uploaded a slideshow of pictures of his glamorous model-artist-socialite-mother on
Gloria posted a number of pictures marking the occasion on her feed as well. "Today I turn 95. It feels like yesterday I was 16 and posing for my first picture of Harper's Bazaar. There is so much I wish I had known then," she wrote in the caption. "I do believe that it is only once you accept that life is a tragedy that you can truly start to live... and, oh, how I have lived! So many lives, so much work, so much love. It is incalculable."

Clearly, the Cooper-Vanderbilts are up to speed on how to appropriately acknowledge the anniversary of one's birth in the digital age. In fact, Vanderbilt's feed happens to be one of the most charming on the internet as a whole. From throwback snapshots of herself and her children, to images of her own artwork (which she also features on @gloriavanderbiltstudio) her Insta proves that age is nothing but a number.
