There's so much to love about Christmas Day, but the holiday is hardly without its stresses. After spending weeks whittling down your gift shopping list, wrapping all of those presents, not to mention the travel and the late-night holiday parties, you're ready to just relax. So the last thing you want to do is the spend hours in the kitchen on the big day preparing a feast. Instead, let these top New York City restaurants do the work, so all you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the season.

JoJo


Jean-Georges Vongerichten's bistro in an Upper East Side brownstone is serving a $108 three-course, prixe-fixe menu with a choice of appetizer, entrée, and dessert on Christmas Day. Offerings include Peekytoe crab dumplings, Faroe Island salmon with chili-pumpkin seed broth and roasted delicata squash, peppercorn crusted Wagyu beef tenderloin with potato gnocchi, brussels sprouts and sage, and the Christmas classic, bûche de Noël. (Fun fact: JoJo was the chef's nickname as a young boy.)

Benjamin Prime


From 11:30 a.m. to 11 pm., this Midtown steakhouse will serve a $79-per-person, prix-fixe menu for Christmas Day with appetizers like lobster bisque, mains including bone-in ribeye and Montauk swordfish, with sides like sauteed broccoli, mashed potatoes, or onion rings and a specialty of the chef's choice for dessert.

Tavern on the Green

All day on Christmas Day, Tavern on the Green is serving a four-course prix-fixe menu for $125 per person. Guests can choose from dishes like wild mushroom gnocchi, glazed country ham with rum-roasted pineapple, Maine lobster risotto, spiced egg nog crème brûlée with a gingerbread cookie, and a Christmas pavlova with marinated berries and lemon curd. Dirty French


This Christmas from noon to 8 pm, Executive Chef Jordan Terry will offer a three-course prix-fixe for $98 per person including bites like grilled oysters with garlic and parsley, roasted beets with candied cashews, roasted chicken with trumpet mushrooms and mustard jus, and opera cake made with almonds, peanut butter and banana ice cream.

Henry Nomad


At the Life Hotel, this Nomad favorite will be open for both brunch and dinner on Christmas Day where Chef JJ Johnson's pan-African flavors will get a holiday twist with specialty dishes like an eggs Benedict with king crab, collards, biscuits and étouffée, brown paper bag fried chicken, fig French toast with Thai basil syrup and salmon noodles with African nectar broth. In the evening, head to the hotel's Gibson + Luce bar for a holiday party from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. hosted by Pam Wiznitzer and Luis Hernandez.

Armani Ristorante


On Christmas Day, take a mini vacation to Italy with Executive Chef Michele Brogioni's four-course prix-fixe menu ($140 per person plus $125 for wine pairings.) Tastes on offerinclude torchon of foie gras, three-meat tortellini, hay-cooked lamb saddle, and the Italian classic Christmas cake, panettone.

From 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day, this seasonal Nomad spot from former Eleven Madison Park chef Greg Proechel will offer the restaurant's regular menu along with his specialty sasso chicken with schmaltz polenta and greens.

Mastro's Steakhouse


The classic Christmas ham just isn't doing it for you this year, why not head to this Midtown steakhouse for some equally festive beef? Mastro's will be serving their regular menu all day Christmas Day, in addition to specials like the Chateaubriand, sliced and served tableside with béarnaise and peppercorn sauces on the side and a pumpkin-infused version of its famous butter cake.

Mix up your typical Christmas Day menu at this tapas staple's Soho, Upper East Side, and West 40th Street outposts, where they'll be offering their regular menu from noon to 9 p.m. and a la carte specials as well as a Christmas Feast menu for $70 per person including half a Maine lobster, monkfish, mussels, roasted carrots, fingerling potatoes and almond picada, pan con tomate, chorizo Iberico, and an almond and hazelnut cake.

Tiny’s and The Bar Upstairs in Tribeca is offering a prix-fixe menu on Christmas Day from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. for $69 ($89 with wine pairing.) Guests will start with lobster bisque with homemade whole wheat and cranberry breads, followed by a choice of lobster ravioli in a champagne butter sauce or Humboldt Fog goat cheese salad with raspberry vinaigrette. For the main course, guests have the choice between a pan roasted halibut or a smoked filet mignon served with pommes de terre gratin and sugar plum Christmas cookies or sea salt chocolate truffles for dessert.

Far tastier than half-hearted Christmas takeout, Chef Lena Ciardullo's Roman stunner will be serving their regular menu of pizzas from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. like the Patate Alla Carbonara with potatoes, guanciale, black pepper, pecorino, and egg and the Casino with clams casino, bacon, bechamel, provolone, baby kale, garlic and breadcrumbs.
