You Must See This Wonderland-Inspired Exhibit at Art Fair 2018
In his staging of “Imaginarium” for the sixth installment of Art Fair Philippines, sculptor Daniel de la Cruz takes his audience on a sensory exploration through three distinct yet interwoven stories of fantasy, mystery, and illusion. “After 10 years of constantly experimenting with my work, I am now comfortable with who I am as a visual artist. ‘Imaginarium’ is a celebration of life, a way for me to look at things differently, express my own viewpoint, and find beauty and fun in the unexpected,” he shares. De la Cruz starts where he left off with his Alice in Wonderland-inspired show, “Curiouser and Curiouser,” and takes people into the not-so-real world we live in, one where reality is not as it seems but what we make of it. “Although it is not always beautiful and pleasant, we ought to never outgrow our sense of wonderment,” he continues.
