The Carewell Community Celebrates 10 Years With Intimate Concert

The Carewell Community Foundation celebrated its 10th year with an intimate concert for friends and supporters featuring Lea Salonga and Ryan Cayabyab. Carewell provides support, education, and hope to persons with cancer and their loved ones. Piki Lopez, chairman of First Philippine Holdings, surprised the audience by singing a duet with Lea, “Pure Imagination,” from the film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory starring Gene Wilder. Wilder’s wife, Gilda Radner, passed away from ovarian cancer in 1989.
