These Important Philippine Works of Art Are Going Up on Auction
To pay tribute to Philippine art, Salcedo Auctions is holding a sale titled 'Important Philippine Art' including 'Important Philippine Furniture, Tribal & Ethnographic Art.' Bidding will commence today, March 10, 2:00 p.m. at Three Salcedo Place.
'Important Philippine Art' consists of over 100 pieces and features an eclectic mix of works by National Artists H.R. Ocampo, Jose Joya, Victorio Edades, Arturo Luz, Vicente Manansala, Ang Kiukok, and BenCab, Fernando Zobel, Romulo Olazo, Mauro Malang Santos as well as leading contemporary artists such as Rodel Tapaya, Alfredo Esquillo, Mark Justiniani, and Ronald Ventura.
"[We're] mindful of our role and responsibility as the trusted venue for the sale and acquisition of fine art at auction—effectively serving as a barometer of the Philippine art market," says Salcedo Auctions director Richie Lerma.
