Salcedo Auctions announces an art- and food-filled weekend event.

Salcedo Auctions has announced a new venture bringing together two of everyone’s favorite things. Gavel & Block, a subsidiary of Salcedo Auctions, is staging a three-day event that will combine art and fine food. The inaugural event will be the first of many as Gavel & Block plans to host quarterly events marrying art, design, and various collectibles for a contemporary audience.

With art by Gavel & Block, food by The Gourmand Market’s Trish Panlilio and culture collective Green Sun as the stage, the unique weekend will be a feast for the senses. “The Gourmand Market thrives on its creed, ‘Eat Well, Live Well,’ and is, therefore, more than discovering purveyors and delectable dishes. It is also a platform where people of various interests can come together and celebrate their passions,” said the team behind the favored marketplace, Trish Panlilio, Dara David-Roa, and Dong Ronquillo.

The modern atmosphere of Green Sun and its reputation as a creative hub is a true fit for the event, with Green Sun’s Kevin Lim-Tan adding, “Green Sun was built to be the launch pad for creativity – and it is our mission to promote the arts and enrich culture.”

Before this, a preview of the auction will take place at Salcedo Auctions at Three Salcedo Place, 121 Tordesillas St., Salcedo Village, Makati City, from Thursday, 20 July to Wednesday, 26 July.
