In the two years that Netflix has been in the Philippines, it has almost single-handedly changed the way Filipinos, as with the rest of the world, consume films and television shows. In recent years, the streaming platform has one-upped the competition by also producing its own original content.

On November 8 and 9, Netflix Asia presented its slate of upcoming movies and shows for the holiday season, as well as a few titles for next year, during a media event in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. Here are a few titles we’re most excited to see:

Robin Wright, who has taken over the starring role in House of Cards, expressed how she felt about filming the final season. “It’s a family that you form. It’s a six-year-long movie,” she told Netflix chief content officer Ted Serandos. Of the show, she says, “It’s the art of war, which is how politics works in every country.” Wright, who directed the final episode of House of Cards, said that the finale will “shock you beyond belief.”

Instead of renewing a fourth installation of the hit Narcos, showrunner Eric Newman saw the opportunity to expand the franchise and focus its attention on the illegal drug trade in Mexico. Diego Luna and Michael Peña, who were announced to star in the new series, were present at the panel discussion. Luna comments on the birth of Mexico’s drug war, saying, “It’s not just about Mexico. We’re talking about the world’s biggest issue today—an issue that involves everyone on the planet.”

Asian comedians are a rare sight in Hollywood, which is what makes this Netflix original so special. This rom-com stars Ali Wong, best known for her two Netflix comedy specials Baby Cobra and Hard Knock Wife, and Randall Park, who has starred in Fresh Off the Boat.
