Since its inception in 2010, the Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival has been bringing together local and international acts in the arts and music industry in an effort to promote protection and sustainability environment. The three-day event is held outdoors, amid the rolling terrain at the foot of Mount Malasimbo and overlooking the majestic Puerto Galera Bay. The natural amphitheater in an idyllic setting helps in channeling what has become increasingly important in society—a sense of community, passion for arts and culture, and unity with nature.

Artists in this year’s lineup include Hiatus Kaiyote, Laneous, Ruby Ibarra, Stick Figgas, Skarm, crwn, and many more. Attendees would also be able to enjoy music by renowned DJs like Katsy Lee, Jason Soong, and Patty Tiu during the Silent Disco—an interesting take on the old-school dance clubs where people wear headphones with colorful lights and dance to the beat. For an outsider, it looks like they’re swaying to the sound of silence.
