The Book Club is getting back together. This week, Mary Steenburgen revealed that last year's much-loved comedy, which also starred Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, and Candice Bergen, is getting a sequel.

“I love them," Steenburgen said of her co-stars on Andy Cohen's radio program, Radio Andy."I guess we’re doing Book Club 2 because the film was incredibly successful."

The original story followed four longtime friends as they read Fifty Shades of Grey together, and tried to resolve romantic dilemmas in their own lives. For the most part everyone ended up with a happy ending in the film, but clearly, there's more story to tell.

Undoubtedly, the success of Book Club stemmed from the ensemble cast of Hollywood heavyweights who remarkably hadn't worked together previously. "We’re kind of obsessed with each other because none of us had ever worked together, and there had been these little meetings over the years between all of us, but the stories are so incredible," Steenburgen told Cohen.

"And also I love it because I’m the baby of the group, so it’s really nice to like, for once in my life be the youngest."

It's unclear what sort of a timeline is in the works for The Book Club part two, but the women haven't lost touch off-screen. The foursome recently reunited at Keaton's house for a dinner party.

"Oh my god, I wish we were filming these dinners cause they are so FUNNY," Steenburgen wrote in the caption of a photo from the evening. "But some things just have to be a little moment in time. Wise, funny, supportive, dreamy friends. Love."
