Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes has a very busy 2019 ahead of him. In addition the much-anticipated Downtown film, which is set to premiere in September, he's working on The Gilded Age, a period drama set in New York City in the 1880s which is slated to air this year. Other projects on his proverbial desk include a Netflix television series about soccer called The English Game, a project centered around the Rothschild Dynasty, one of the richest families in history, called Five Arrows, and a series about the Queen's art collection.

In January, Deadline also reports that Fellowes's novel Belgravia will be made into a show for ITV.

The book, named for London's tony neighborhood, was originally published in 2016 in serial format through an app. A historical drama (as is his specialty), Belgraviaopens on the eve of the Battle of Waterloo at a ball thrown by the Duchess of Richmond in Brussels. The story then takes readers 25 years into the future, when secrets from that night begin to be revealed.

Aside from the general plot, at this point details are slim about the show. That said, we do know that Fellowes will be adapting his own novel, and working with NBCU’s Carnival Films on the show, and it will be directed by John Alexander.

"It's fantastic to be working again with Julian, a master storyteller,"

executive producer Gareth Neame said in a statement. "In Belgravia, he has painted a wonderful backdrop of 19th-century society against which intrigue and dynastic power struggles will play out."

But it's unclear who might star, when the series might premiere, and if or when Belgravia will come to the Philippines. Stay tuned, we'll be sure to update as soon as we know more.
