As we await the results of this year's U.S. Open, one thing we know for sure is that Roger Federer is still the top-earning player in his sport, with $77.2 million in earnings from June 2017 to June 2018, according to Forbes.

That's almost triple the earnings of Novak Djokovic, who fell from second to fourth on the Forbes list between this year and last. Federer rakes in prize money from endorsement deals with brands like Barilla (he inked a five-year partnership with the pasta company last year), Mercedes-Benz, Rolex, and Credit Suisse. In fact, Forbes named him the highest-paid tennis player for the 13th year in a row—and he won't be going anywhere any time soon. Just last month, Federer signed a 10-year, $300 million endorsement deal with Japanese retailer Uniqlo.

On the women's side, 36-year-old Serena Williams ranked number five in the world, as the top-earning female at $18.1 million, which went down a bit since she took time off to have her first child.
