Twenty years ago, J.K. Rowling’s debut novel Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone hit bookshelves worldwide–leading to what would eventually become the best-selling book series of all time. It’s been quite a ride with seven books, eight blockbuster hits and there are no signs of stopping with a number of planned spin-offs.

As a children’s fiction book, Harry Potter was pretty advanced for its time, discussing themes such as equality, discrimination, prejudice, and personal tragedies. It was exactly these themes that made the book so special, engaging both young and old–creating special bonds especially since most readers grew up along with the characters.

Although the main series has come to an end, Potterheads can expect much more from the magical universe. The much-awaited follow-up of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the second of a trilogy is set to be released November 2018. Theatrically, there’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child which opens on Broadway on April 2018.

To mark the two decades, publisher Bloomsbury is releasing special Hogwarts House Editions of the debut novel, decorated with Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry’s four houses’ signature colors: scarlet and gold for Gryffindor, black and yellow for Hufflepuff, blue and bronze for Ravenclaw, green and silver for Slytherin.

Adding a bit more magic to the festivities, Facebook surprised users with magic wands for those who type the words “Harry Potter” or any of Hogwarts’ four houses, as well as the houses corresponding colors. Twitter, on the other hand, introduced an emoji accompanying the hashtag #HarryPotter20. You may also try a Snapchat filter to see what you’d look like as the boy with the lighting scar on his forehead.

Two decades after the first book was published, Potterheads are still pledging to the J.K. Rowling series, and nothing can be more apt for all our feelings than this famous exchange from the book:
