Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion may have long moved on from their failed marriage in the ‘90s (both are happily married now—Cuneta with Senator Kiko Pangilinan and Concepcion with Genevieve Gonzales). But fans of their coupling have always expressed a fervent desire to see the two reunite in a project together.

Today, this wish was granted. Fast food chain McDonald’s Philippines just released a new video starring the former couple. Watch the clip below:

Both celebrities have been teasing their reunion on their Instagram accounts over the past week, sending fans into a frenzy. It was initially thought that they were filming a movie.

It started with Cuneta's post of an old photo of herself with Concepcion with the words, “This is only the beginning.”

Soon after, they followed each other on Instagram. Naturally, their daughter, KC Concepcion, was over the moon with what happened.

"Never in my wildest dreams," said KC in her caption.

Of course, it didn’t stop there. This week, Cuneta’s Instagram feed was filled with old photos of her and Concepcion.

She then confirmed the reunion with this sweet throwback post:

And this quote from their film P.S. I love You.

Concepcion also shared a photo of back when he and Cuneta were still sweethearts.

Today, the commercial went live. From the first shot of the megastar looking gorgeous while taking a bite of a chicken to Concepcion asking if he could share a table with her, fans everywhere swooned. And even if they were just stealing glances and smiling at each other, it was enough to inspire emotion.

After the commercial went live, Cuneta uploaded another video on her page, a behind-the-scenes footage:

Cuneta also assured that her husband, Pangilinan, is very supportive. When an Instagram user asked if Senator Pangilinan ever gets jealous because of all the throwback photos she's been posting, Sharon is quick to reply, "Super secure si Kiko. Supportive!"
