Prince William and Prince Harry Will Play Stormtroopers in the New Star Wars Film
The royals are taking on a galaxy far, far away.

As heirs to the British throne, Prince William and Prince Harry were basically born with impressive resumes. But their latest gig has the Princes tackling iconic roles like never before: They'll make a secretive appearance as stormtroopers in the new Star Wars movie.

Back in August, John Boyega, who plays Finn in the franchise, teased that the Princes filmed a cameo in the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Now, Boyega has confirmed the news, adding that Will and Harry will appear as stormtroopers. While participating in The Hollywood Reporter's Actor Roundtable, Boyega reportedly said that seeing the royals "wrapped in stormtroopers costumes" was a "strange contrast of a weird family," but called it "a great experience" overall. Sources at THR added that Tom Hardy and singer Gary Barlow are also making clandestine appearances in the new film.

Rumors have been swirling about the royals' role in the upcoming Star Wars movie since they visited the film set in April 2016. Back then, Will and Harry had the chance to live out their Star Wars fantasies, from hugging the one and only Chewbacca:

The royals seemed to fit in perfectly with the Star Wars cast:

Surprisingly enough, Will and Harry aren't the first celebrity cameos in Star Wars history. Daniel Craig also made an appearance as a stormtrooper in 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And if you're currently thinking "how did I not know this?!" fear not: being stormtroopers and all, the audience doesn't get to see their faces. Which means we sadly won't know for sure which stormtrooper is Will or Harry.

THR's sources hinted that Will, Harry, Hardy, and Barlow all appear in the same scene opposite Boyega's Finn in an elevator, but we'll have to wait until Star Wars: The Last Jedi is released on December 15th to see for ourselves.
