Back in March, it was announced that Meryl Streep would star in The Post, a new film about the Washington Post's legal battle to publish the Pentagon Papers in 1971.

The three-time Oscar winner will play the paper's then-publisher Katharine Graham, who, alongside executive editor Ben Bradlee, made the decision to run a series of articles about the classified Defense Department study on the United States' military involvement in Vietnam. Bradlee will be portrayed in the film by Tom Hanks.

This week, we got our first look at Streep's portrayal of Graham in a photo taken on-set:

She certainly has Graham's signature coif down-pat. But what does Graham's family think of the film?

“With the media under attack, I think everybody has thought about it in a new light and realizes the importance of the people out there reporting on the facts,” Katharine Weymouth, Graham’s granddaughter and another former publisher of the Post, said.

"I think my grandmother would be incredibly flattered that Meryl Streep was playing her. Who wouldn’t be?"
