Gordon Ramsay may be under fire for swearing six times at 11 in the morning but the celebrity chef's daughter has just revealed he never drops curses at home.

Teenager Matilda, who has her own CBBC cooking show Matilda and The Ramsay Bunch, also insisted that he's not really as strict as he seems in front of the cameras.

"My dad has helped loads of people in Kitchen Nightmares and while he can be harsh, it is for a good reason," she told Waitrose Weekend magazine (via Mirror). "Yes, he gets angry but it does make them better."

She then dropped the bombshell: "He does not swear at home. On telly, he is like a strict teacher but when I watch him I find it funny because it is so different to how he is at home. He's just a normal dad."

The 17-year-old said that she started cooking in a bid to get attention, adding: "When you are the youngest in a noisy family of six, you really have to shout to get noticed. Instead of shouting, I started cooking-it is easier to get attention by producing a tasty dinner for everyone than it is jumping up and down making a lot of noise all the time."

Ramsay recently revealed that his four children wouldn't be inheriting his fortune, and they definitely do not sit with him and wife Tana when they travel first class.

"[The fortune] is definitely not going to them, and that's not in a mean way; it's to not spoil them," he told The Telegraph. "They don't sit with us in first class. They haven't worked anywhere near hard enough to afford that. At that age, at that size, you're telling me they need to sit in first class? No, they do not. We're really strict on that."
