Every year, there are certain costumes that you know are going to be hot: characters from big movie franchises like Marvel's superheroes, or big-time TV wins like Game of Thrones. Then there are the timely costumes: memes, celebrities, and jokes that have become popular because they're in the zeitgeist at that particular moment. With the run-up to the 2020 presidential election in full swing, it's a safe bet that politics-themed costumes are going to have a big presence this year, but getting political doesn't have to mean being the tenth Joe Biden at your Halloween bash.

Here we've rounded up a few fun political costume ideas that will be a real treat no matter what side of the aisle you're on.

Her hair flip!—but the former First Lady's matching skirt suit and pillbox hat combinations will forever hold a place in our hearts. It's instantly recognizable, easy to pull off, and best of all, timelessly stylish.
