Ina Garten Will Cook With Jennifer Garner on the Thanksgiving Episode of Barefoot Contessa

Jennifer Garner may call her Instagram video series a #PretendCookingShow, but all signs point to the actress getting serious about gastronomy.

The actress has been dutifully posting how-to videos to her feed and IGTV since last year, and now, she's getting a boost from the best in the biz: beloved Barefoot Contessa host Ina Garten.

A segment of Garten's special Thanksgiving episode, which will air this Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on Food Network, will be devoted to Garner's Pretend Cooking Show. "Sometimes I do something called 'pretend cooking show' on my Instagram, [and this year] I did a pretend cooking show for Barefoot Contessa's Thanksgiving special!" Garner told ET on Sunday.

She announced the news to her Instagram fans with a video of herself—somewhat inexplicably—making a poorly-constructed paper turkey. "Happy Thanksgiving Ina!" she says at the end, moving the two-dimensional turkey's beak as though it were the one speaking. In the comment, she hinted at what recipe she'd be tackling in the segment: her "feisty grandmother Exie Mae Garner’s sweet potato pudding." Feisty like Ina, perhaps?

Garner is a longtime fan of Ina, and has made many cooking videos inspired by Barefoot Contessa recipes. And according to the Food Network chef, the feeling is mutual. "Isn’t she lovely?! I just think she’s so wonderful," Garten said to PeopleMagazine. "I love her videos so much. She is adorable and smart and not at all performing—that’s just who she is. I just think she’s really special."

May we all one day be recognized in the eyes of Ina.
