Barefoot Contessa queen Ina Garten has graced us with a sneak peek at her upcoming cookbook, Cook Like A Pro. Yesterday, she shared a recipe on social media from the new book, and it looks like the perfect summer side.

Ina wrote on Instagram, "When the weather in East Hampton gets really hot, I don't feel like spending a lot of time in a hot kitchen." SAME INA, except in #Brooklyn. Instead, she likes to grill some fish or chicken and make a big salad from ingredients she can find at any farm stand. Her new favorite (!) is the Tomato & Avocado Salad. "I've been making it so much this summer I just had to share it with you early!"

The recipe calls for tomatoes, avocados, red onion, arugula, and a fresh lemon vinaigrette. Per Barefoot Contessa, this salad serves four to six people, so it'll be a perfect addition to the next dinner with your pals. It's also a beginner level recipe, so we really all can #CookLikeAPro with this one!

Cook Like A Pro, Ina's eleventh cookbook, is named after her current Food Network series. In an Instagram post, Ina said the book is "full of delicious and accessible recipes, tips, and techniques for home cooks" so that we can all "cook with confidence." Cook Like A Pro comes out October 23, and is available for pre-order now.

PRE-ORDER NOW Cook Like A Pro, $28; amazon.com
