It's been over a year since Ina Garten's last cooking project, Cooking for Jeffrey, was released. And now fans of Garten (which, let's be honest, is all of us) are in for a serious treat: she's returning to television with a new show on the Food Network.

Garten slyly revealed the news on social media by posting a photo with her assistant Lidey Heuck, writing: "Fun today filming with Lidey for my new series Cook Like a Pro on Food Network. Airing mid-May; stay tuned!"

Earlier today, Garten herself revealed additional details about the series so devoted Barefoot Contessa fans know what to expect. "[The show] is a little more fine-grained than my other show, which is more like my friends are coming for dinner," Garten told Today. "I want to teach people techniques instead of recipes. I just want to answer all of people's questions on how to cook."

"I just want to show people how to sauté a pepper, chop an onion and cut a cauliflower so that it won't get all over your kitchen," she said. "A few simple tips can take something to a professional level."
