7 Fun Alcohol-Spiked Treats You Must Try at Fundador Café
The nation's first Fundador Cafe has created a buzz with its cupcakes, coffee, and cocktails. It's been giving its guests quite a buzz too.
The 50-meter concept store at Venice Grand Canal at McKinley Hill presents these treats infused with Fundador and Harvey Bristol Cream variances.
Fundador was established in 1730 and is the largest and oldest brandy-maker in Spain. Its first café in the Philippines offers hot and cold drinks, as well as blended ones infused with Fundador Gold Reserve, Fundador Solera, Fundador Exclusivo, and Fundador Double Light. Sweets such as cupcakes and a gelato selection spiked with Harveys Bristol Cream.
“The Fundador Café was launched with the Filipino millennials in mind. It’s the Philippines’ first concept store where customers can indulge in a variety of beverages and cupcakes infused with liquor while shopping from rare and exclusive collections of Fundador,” says Kendrick Tan, Emperador Inc.’s executive director
Kevin Tan, who heads Megaworld's lifestyle malls says, “[The café] really gives our customers the full experience of the brand. The Fundador brand is a 300-year-old brand from Spain, and it's been here in the Philippines for about 100 years.” He adds, “It's important for us to be able to make people understand the heritage and the story behind the brand. We feel that this store can do that, but we wanted to present it a way that's up-to-date.”

Here are some of the cafe's intriguing concoctions:
1. Café Solera
The Café Solera is a refreshing drink that is the perfect pick-me-up. It's made with the brandy house's classic variant, Fundador Solera, and espresso.
2. Harvey's Mojito
Lemon and mint are mixed with a clean, fresh, and fruity sherry wine—Harveys Bristol Cream. The end result is a smooth, spicy, citrusy flavor that's reminiscent of a “Spanish summer.”
3. Matcha Light
The café puts a spin on the massively popular matcha tea by infusing it with Fundador Light. Matcha provides its signature sweet and creamy flavor while Fundador adds an extra kick that surprisingly blends nicely.
4. Salted Double Caramel
The Salted Double Caramel is one of three of the café's hot drinks. What makes this tea-based cocktail stand out, however, is the taste of salted caramel with caramel syrup which is finished off with a shot of Fundador Double Light.
5. Harveys Bristol Cream Fruit Cake
The café's fruitcake is made with red and green cherries, dates, cranberries, raisins, candied peel, almonds and pecans, and Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry.
6. Banana Cupcake
This moist banana cupcake is laced with Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry and topped with Harveys-infused dark chocolate ganache.
7. Chocolate Cupcake
Fundador's chocolate cupcake's flavor is doubled with the infusion of Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry. It is then topped with a similarly infused dark chocolate ganache.
