Robert Downey Jr. marked his friendship with Avengers co-star Chris Evans in a very special way. After filming Avengers: Endgame last year, the Iron Man actor custom-designed a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS for Evans, who showed it off on a past episode of Jay Leno’s Garage. At the center of the car’s steering wheel is a logo of Captain America’s shield. Evans told television show host Leno that Downey chose the “melted army man green” color himself.

The classic car is reportedly worth $275,000 and is stored away at the actor’s home in Massachusetts.

As the highest-paid actor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Downey reportedly made $20.25 million for Avengers: Infinity War and his take-home pay from Endgame will undoubtedly be larger.

Evans admits on the episode he thinks it’s “aesthetically beautiful” but “doesn’t know much about them.” He explains how he arrived on the set one day and the car was waiting for him. Under the hood of this restored model is a modern engine updated by SpeedKore. It also holds a plaque that reads: “1967 Camaro RS ‘Steve Rogers’ Special Edition Custom Built for Chris Evans.”

David Salvaggio, vice president of SpeedKore, told Leno that Downey was very much involved in the restoration of the car. “He really liked the ’67 because of the vent windows and a couple of other things that made the ’67 unique and actually we got some choice colors and leathers—Robert was really digging into it.” He also revealed that Downey had it shipped to the set in Atlanta to present to Evans.

“This is way out of my league,” Evans said to Leno, comparing the swanky ride to his past cars, a Mazda Protégé and a Jeep Cherokee.

Downey, Evans, and the rest of the original Avengers co-stars share a close relationship, having worked together for almost a decade. Downey, in particular, has a habit of pulling pranks on his fellow co-stars on social media. Both Downey and Evans, however, do not have any slated roles in the upcoming Marvel movies, which has led to speculations that Endgame was their last.
