Michelle Obama's highly anticipated memoir now has a release date. Becoming, a book the former first lady has described as "deeply personal" will debut on November 13, 2018 from The Crown Publishing Group at Penguin Random House.

"Writing BECOMING has been a deeply personal experience. I talk about my roots and how a girl from the South Side found her voice," Obama wrote in a tweet on February 25. "I hope my journey inspires readers to find the courage to become whoever they aspire to be. I can't wait to share my story," she said.

The former First Lady also shared the book's first promotional image on Instagram:

The book's official website describes the text as "a work of deep reflection and mesmerizing storytelling." It will recount not only Obama's time in the White House, but also her childhood in Chicago and her experience as a working mother.

"With unerring honesty and lively wit, she describes her triumphs and her disappointments, both public and private, telling her full story as she has lived it—in her own words and on her own terms," continues the promotional prose.

Penguin Random House also shared that Obama will be going on tour, though dates and additional information have yet to be released.

Last year, it was reported that Obama, along with her husband former President Barack Obama, received upwards of $60 million in a two-memoir book deal from Penguin Random House. Barack Obama's memoir is expected to be released in 2019.
