Entering the shop is almost like being transported to a kooky wonderland where Christmas trees of all color grow, pompoms hang from the sky, and a rainbow of ribbons bind nearly everything. There’s an area strictly for traditional red-and-green fanfare, but only more extravagant, more luxe, and as special as can be. There’s an area for jewel-toned decor in shades of emerald, topaz, amethyst, and sapphire. There’s even a corner with Mexican-inspired pompom streamers and costumed llamas. But if that’s too crazy for you, then maybe you can settle for the candy ornaments instead—a sweet addition to your tree.

This year the Christmas shop exceeded expectations with its largest and most unique holiday selection to date. This comes as no surprise, considering that the team behind this division starts preparing for the shop as soon as New Year celebrations end. Yuletide season is year-round for them, for they want to ensure that the products you find here are top-quality and purely endemic to the shop. And with the 12 interesting Christmas themes they have launched, this year is truly a testament to that thrust.

According to the shop's team, people are becoming more adventurous when it comes to their seasonal decor and they even consider what their children would like best. (Hence all the plush offerings.) But whatever your preference, there’s something in store for everyone.

For those with a taste for traditional decor, there’s a myriad of themes for you. Seasons is the Santa-centered theme brimming with red and white stockings and throw pillows. Sweet Indulgence is Seasons younger, fun-loving sister with gingerbread houses, candy canes, and other Christmas treats that the whole family will definitely admire.

For those who are willing to be more adventurous with their decor, there are modern themes that are subtle yet festive. Urban Christmas lends a rustic holiday feel to your home via wooden furnishing with touches of gold, silver, bronze with gray. Romantic exudes femininity with a muted pink color palette with hints of rose gold. On the other side of the spectrum is City Glam, an icy blue theme of frosted tips, silver tinsel, and glittery snowflakes.

For those who desire their Christmas decor to be larger than life, there are offerings, too. To get your kids giddy with excitement, there’s Pink Kiss, every little girl’s pink fantasy with plush unicorns and dainty strands of pink pearl. Holiday Glam boasts of its superior shine factor with decor touched by Midas—plates, champagne flutes, and other gilded dinner table mainstays to boot.

With such an extensive selection, dressing up your home for the holidays—in the most stylish way possible—has never been this easy. But aside from the decor, there are other perks for shoppers who buy a whole tree’s worth of ornaments: The Christmas tree can be personally set up at the shopper’s home so it looks just as they had seen it on display. As for gift shopping, there's a children's Christmas registry, which makes it easier for parents to inform ninongs and ninangs what their children want. A purchase assembly card is also available and allows you to ravage through the store and claim all your gifts in one area once shopping is done. Lastly, there are even monogramming and engraving services for silver items, pens, or jewelry boxes.

T&C took a tour around the shop led by Marilen Tantoco, VP for merchandising for the home division, and Dina Tantoco, marketing and communications head. Both were excited about each of the shop’s themed areas and pointed to their favorite finds. Dina Tantoco took an interest in the collection of snow globes that covered one wall, as well as the nostalgic toys that call to mind old feel-good Christmas movies on TV.

As for Marilen Tantoco, she loves the Mexican-themed decor and even wanted the pompom streamers for her home (but her ceiling’s too high). A kid at heart, she also loves the electronic dancing stuff toys of Santa and his reindeer. She has her own collection at home.

Marilen Tantoco is very active when it comes to curating the Christmas Shop, which is why some of the items are very reflective of her own style. More than that, she and her team truly understand the discerning and evolving tastes of their customers. This makes the Rustan’s Christmas Shop one of, if not the top destination for fantastic holiday home decor.

During T&C's store visit, a family gushed over how cute the dancing stuff toys were, much to Marilen Tantoco’s amusement. Surely, this place isn’t just for the most particular of decor-obsessed shoppers but for holiday-loving families as well.
