Sting and Trudie Styler are selling their penthouse in one of Manhattan's most prestigious buildings, and they stand to make fields of gold on the sale.

The British musician and his actress and producer wife were among the first buyers at 15 Central Park West when they paid about $27 million for a duplex penthouse in 2008. Now they're selling it for a listing price that's more than twice what they paid: $56 million.

Once you see the stunning photos of the 5,417-square-foot property, the price doesn't seem quite as outrageous. Scroll down for a look inside the listing shared by Sotheby's International Realty and Corcoran.

The apartment is configured as a three-bedroom unit, with a home office/fourth bedroom.

It has 43 feet of frontage on Central Park.

The terrace is 396 square feet.

There are 10-foot ceilings throughout the penthouse.

The living room features a distinctive open fireplace.

Designer Lee F. Mindel added two custom, sculptural spiral staircases.

Here's one of the bedrooms.

This bathroom comes with a view.

The master bedroom suite includes his-and-hers dressing rooms, dual spa bathrooms, and this sauna.

There are colorful accents throughout the apartment.

The chef's kitchen has two full-sized refrigerators, a Wolf stovetop and four ovens, and three Miele dishwashers.

15 Central Park West is known for lots of over-the-top amenities.

The limestone building between West 61st and 62nd Streets has a landscaped motor court and its own parking garage; a 14,000-square-foot fitness center with a 75-foot, skylit lap pool, steam room and sauna (in case the buyer opts for a change of scenery from his or her personal one); a screening room; and a private restaurant.
