Dolce & Gabbana Makes Kitchen Appliances Now

Appliances have never looked so chic.
Comments

Following their buzzy collaboration on high-fashion refrigerators last Spring, D&G, and Italian home appliance company SMEG are teaming up again on a line of chic kitchen appliances. Coming in October, the "Sicily Is My Love" collection includes toasters, citrus juicers, coffee machines, kettles, blenders, stand mixers and slow juicers.

Each product pays homage to Southern Italy and features designs inspired by Sicilian folklore. Symbolic motifs include Mount Etna, ornamental friezes, decorative acanthus leaves, lemons, prickly pears, and bright red cherries. There are also floral patterns that call to mind D&G's runway designs.

There's no word yet on prices, but considering the refrigerators went for $34,000 a piece, you can bet these will be pricey.

But, just look at this gorgeous stand mixer!

Worth it?!
