Following Phaidon's The Art Book and The Fashion Book, two of the publishing house's bestselling titles and indispensable resources for aficionados, comes Interiors: The Greatest Rooms of the Century. Surprisingly, it is the first Phaidon title devoted to interior design. Organized alphabetically, the 402 rooms span from 1903 to 2017 and include not only interior designers, but also architects, fashion designers, artists, and writers. "The idea was to offer a compendium of the rooms that interior design people talk about when they talk about the most interesting rooms in the past century," said editor William Norwich."

Some were done by professional designers, many are the expressions of stylish people living with the things they love. All have made great impressions on others. And then there are the great patrons of interior decorating, such as Lee Radziwill, Marella Agnelli, and Bill Blass who created splendid houses and apartments." For a sneak preview of the fabulous rooms, scroll down. Interiors comes out May 22 and will be available at major retailers and online.
