What is your weekday morning routine?
Work calls sometimes start as early as 7:30 a.m. Depending on my schedule I either get ready for work when I have a morning meeting or check my e-mail and call the office to attend to details that need attention. I’m out the door by 9 a.m.

How do you keep in shape?
I am generally an active person. I have to be fit and agile enough to climb stairs that are mostly unfinished or use temporary ladders to access upper levels that are under construction. I once walked down 12 stories plus two basement levels because the elevator was not working that day—in heels. Schedule permitting, I enjoy my yoga practice, it centers me and keeps me limber.

Your uniform of choice?
I love separates and dresses from COS. White, black, and blue.

Any personal signifier?
I have always been into thin and simple everyday jewelry. They’re less fussy and always look clean and elegant.

What would you never leave home without?
My phone. I hate that this is my answer but unfortunately for most people, including myself, our phones are extensions of our arms. It would be very difficult to run a business nowadays if one is not connected. There are some rare days that my phone is not with me, and when that happens, it is liberating.

Do you visit your store, Cura V, every day?
I would like to be at Cura V more often but my time is spent mostly on my main line of work as head designer and vice president for Jose Calma Development.

What do you love about what you do?
I love the fact that my husband and I can contribute to the well-being of people by helping design or build spaces that make life better, easier, and happier for them. Owning or building a home in whatever size and scale is a milestone in one’s life and we are very happy to be a part of that.

What’s it like to work with your husband?
It comes with its own set of headaches, but I generally enjoy working with him because he is talented and smart, and is my best friend.

Favorite way to spend an afternoon?
I love reading a good book outdoors.

Have you read any good books lately?
I enjoyed reading Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore, by Robin Sloan, and the most original thriller I have read is The Girl with All the Gifts, by M.R. Carey.

Must-follow Instagram accounts for decorating and design?
@lahauscreativestudio_perth, @therow, @allaboutinteriordesign, @eightyfourrooms, @smithgrey.

Greatest extravagance?
I am not really an extravagant person but travel can be an extravagance depending on where you go and dine.

Cocktail or glass of wine before dinner?
Cocktails for sure.

What time is lights out?
It varies from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. depending on my submissions. Sometimes I have to work when everyone else has gone to sleep.

What will you be dreaming of tonight?
Building our dream beach house.
