Tonight, actress Claire Foy took home a Golden Globe for her transformative performance in Netflix's The Crown. The period drama chronicles the early days of Queen Elizabeth II's reign with Foy portraying the trials and triumphs of the young monarch.

In her acceptance speech for the well-deserved award, she called out Netflix, Left Bank Pictures, the show's creator Peter Morgan, the whole cast, and specifically her co-stars John Lithgow and Matt Smith. "When you play a real-life person, it's tricky, and you rely very much on the people around you, so I'm going to dedicate this all the people around me," she said.

Foy also thanked a woman whose life—both public and private—she'd spent so much time imagining: the Queen herself.

"I really, really, really, wouldn't be here if it wasn't for some extraordinary women, and I'm gonna thank them. One of them is Queen Elizabeth the second," she said.

"She has been at the center of the world for the past 63 years, and I think the world could do with a few more women at the center of it, if you ask me."

We'd have to agree.
