Gone are the trucks, temporary offices, and scaffolding that passersby have grown accustomed to seeing when strolling along the place Vendôme; in their place are the majestic wrought iron doors that signify one's arrival at the newly-renovated Ritz Paris. And along with its old grandeur, it introduces an exclusive area dedicated to the art of Chanel skincare.
Many great personalities have once set foot and taken up accommodations at the Ritz Paris. Among those loyal guests was Coco Chanel, whose almost 40-year stay has contributed to the mystique of the Place Vendôme. It seemed only fitting that they would name one of the 15 Prestige Suites in her honor, as a loyal friend of the hotel. The newly-minted Ritz Club spa carries all of the indulgences of Chanel beauty and the secrets of the brand's treatments.
The recent development (with reconstruction that took four years to finish!) pays homage to beauty, relaxation, and well-being, and the area dedicated to Chanel au Ritz Paris serves as a memento of the long friendship between Mademoiselle Chanel and her personal residence. The Chanel au Ritz is a small boutique full of Chanel beauty products as well as five treatment rooms where you can experience exclusive massage oils named after her legendary perfumes. You may browse through the complete list of services here.
You'll also find six elegant alcoves each featuring a private bathroom, while the boutique features three axes: fragrances, makeup, and skincare. In addition, there is a five-chair outpost of the David Mallett salon so you can extend that pampering, Coco Chanel-style. The boutique also gives you access to the pool, where frescoes, mosaics, and elegant colonnades remain from the original design.
Getting an invitation at the Chanel au Ritz is immensely exclusive. Reports say guests are notified through a stamped letter in the mail when appointments are confirmed.
