Diana, Princes of Wales—aka "the people's princess"—was, and still arguably remains, the most internationally famous member of the British royal family. Her introduction will be a huge turning point in Netflix's already buzzy The Crown, and now we know how much longer we have to wait.

Diana will be introduced towards the end of Season 3, showrunner Peter Morgan told People, and she'll be featured heavily throughout Seasons 4 and 5.

So, let's speculate wildly for a second. Diana Spencer was born on July 1, 1961, meaning she's still non-existent as of Season 1's ending in 1955. Assuming seasons 2 and 3 both cover roughly a decade, we might expect season three to wrap up around 1977—the year a 16-year-old Diana first met Prince Charles. He was also dating her sister at the time, because of course. God bless the royals and their built-in juicy drama.

Morgan also confirmed that Season 2 will focus more on the backstory of Prince Philip (Matt Smith), and on his relationship with his son Charles: "We glance backward to Philip's childhood and his upbringing, and how that might have impacted him as a man, a father and as Prince Consort—which is fascinating."

Let the Diana casting speculation commence…
