Manila Polo Club Summer Camp

Sporty children may further improve their athletic talents at this summer camp. Classes in golf, swimming, fencing, tennis, and other fun activities may keep them active during the languid season. They also offer riding classes that will have your little boy or girl experience various riding disciplines on horseback.

Ayala Museum Summer Workshops

Ayala Museum’s enriching summer programs are for children of all ages, teenagers, and adults. The programs take a fun shortcut to learning and enhancing skills and the variety isn’t bad either. Have your children spend a Saturday afternoon at a treasure hunt or have them dabble early in photography, while you may take an oil painting or travel writing class in the other room.

The Peninsula Academy: Lutong Pinoy and Pasalubong-Making

Guided by an experienced pastry chef, junior guests of the Peninsula Manila can learn kitchen basics, particularly how to whip up traditional Filipino desserts. The kids will love making their own halo-halo and feasting on a sweet merienda afterward.

An afternoon at The Peninsula may also introduce the joys of arts and crafts to the little ones. For the budding artist, there’s a two-hour class on pasalubong-making where children can paint on papier-mâché molds and design their own shirts or canvas bags.

The Mind Museum Maker Camp

If it’s a tinkerer you’re raising, then your future scientist will have a ball during this three-day workshop at the Mind Museum. The session encourages your young one to develop, design, and create his own projects. The camp fosters a do-it-yourself attitude as well as a do-it-together culture to inspire collaborations between inventors. Lessons will tackle concepts in electronics, programming, and robotics.

If your child’s got a knack for the performing arts and would like to train to become the next Lea Salonga, then stage moms should know that Atlantis Theatrical is hosting its first ever musical theater summer workshop for children and teenagers.
